We measure your Maps visibility across a grid of 169 points spread over Queenstown and around it, checking where you rank from each one. At kickoff in September 2025, "WOF Saturday" put you in the top three from zero of those 169 points. On the 1 October 2026 scan it is 105 of 169, easing back from 115 the month before, and your average map position on it went from 15.5 to 3.4.
| Service | Points in the top 3, 1 October | At kickoff, Sep 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| wof saturday | 0% | |
| car repair | 3.0% | |
| mechanic | 3.0% | |
| wof | 1.2% |
Across all ten tracked services your share of the grid in the top three went from 0.7% to 14.0%, which is 236 of the 1,690 points scanned against 12 at kickoff. Averaged across the whole set, your map position improved from 17.8 to 13.3. Maps geo-grid, 1 Oct 2026
Website clicks are the other one worth naming: 126 in the latest window against 78 in the one before, the first of the twelve reporting windows where clicks through to your site have passed a hundred. Calls came in at 173, down from 194, which is still the fourth highest of the twelve windows measured.
Calls are the number that matters on this account, and they are a floor: Google under-reports profile interactions, and any customer who saves your number and calls direct never appears here.
Three different starting points for calls appear across these tabs, so here they are side by side. 62 is September 2025, a part-month because tracking began on the 9th. 79 is October 2025, the first full calendar month. 76 is the first reporting window, 26 September to 25 October 2025. All three describe the same slow start, counted over slightly different days.
Four of your tracked services hold no top-three presence anywhere on the grid. "Wheel alignment queenstown", "car repair queenstown", "warrant of fitness queenstown" and "wof queenstown" all sit at zero, and the last two have not moved at all in over a year of scanning. "Mechanic queenstown" and "mechanic frankton" each hold a single point of the 169. The reason is structural rather than mysterious: your website is essentially two pages with no individual service pages behind them, so there is very little for Google to rank on those terms.
Your rating eased from 5.0 to 4.9 as the review count grew from 16 to 109. Both figures come from your Google Business Profile reviews export rather than the metrics dashboard, which does not carry them. Easing like that is normal at this volume, and it is worth knowing rather than discovering.
One correction worth making: some earlier reports quoted percentage increases in website clicks that ran into the thousands. Those were calculated against a starting figure of zero, which makes the percentage meaningless. The real numbers, the ones on this page, are the ones to trust.
Here is the plain position as at October. The Google profile work is live and running: the 169-point grid rescans on the first of each month, the AI assistant check now runs alongside it, and review replies, Google posts and image refreshes went across for your approval through September as usual.
Two things sit outside the profile and are worth naming again. The four location-suffixed terms have never ranked, for the website reason set out above. The same gap explains the AI assistants, which list you on the terms where you have almost no map coverage and go quiet on the three you own. The map ranking comes off your Google profile and the assistants read your site, so the website is the piece that would move both.
The entity interview we sent on 7 September is also still open. It needs two facts only you have: your NZTA WOF inspecting appointment and the vehicle classes you are approved for, and whether marine work is still something you take on. Neither is stated anywhere on your site today.
