We measure your Maps visibility across a grid of 169 points spread over Queenstown and around it, checking where you rank from each one. At kickoff in September 2025, "WOF Saturday" put you in the top three from zero of those 169 points. Today it is 115 of 169, and your average map position on it went from 15.5 to 3.2.

Tracked services with no top-3 presence at all (detail below)

Calls are the number that matters on this account, and they are a floor: Google under-reports profile interactions, and any customer who saves your number and calls direct never appears here.

The honest picture

Half your tracked services hold effectively no top-three presence. The location-suffixed terms ("mechanic frankton", "wheel alignment queenstown", "car repair queenstown", "warrant of fitness queenstown", "wof queenstown") sit at zero, with "mechanic queenstown" holding just one point of the 169, and two of them have not moved at all in a year of scanning. The reason is structural rather than mysterious: your website is essentially two pages with no individual service pages behind them, so there is very little for Google to rank on those terms.

Your rating eased from 5.0 to 4.9 as the review count grew from 16 to 109. That is normal and not a concern at this volume, but it is worth knowing rather than discovering.

One correction worth making: some earlier reports quoted percentage increases in website clicks that ran into the thousands. Those were calculated against a starting figure of zero, which makes the percentage meaningless. The real numbers, the ones on this page, are the ones to trust.

Where this goes next

OpportunityWhy it matters
Service pages on the websiteThis is the unlock for everything below. Five services have never ranked, and the site does not currently have a page for any of them. It is also what AI assistants read.
The location-suffixed termsYou hold 29% of the grid for "mechanic" and effectively nothing for "mechanic queenstown". Same service, same town, very different result.
AI assistantsWorth knowing: the handful of searches where AI assistants mention you are exactly the ones where you have no map dominance, and the service you dominate on the map returns nothing from any assistant. They are separate systems reading separate things, and the website is what feeds the AI one.
And the next step: Notable. We have built our own AI search platform, Notable, and it is live. It comes with a live dashboard including AI visibility tracking, so you can see exactly where you show up in AI answers. Ben would love to walk you through it in October.
